Colonial Passport
"I think I came across the document by chance after my father passed away in 1982. Once it was no longer valid during the Japanese Occupation during World War II, it must simply have been put away, and remained out of sight for years and years. There is no story shared with me by my father about the document. From his conversations with his peers, I gather that immigration was not a hassle in those days. Getting such a document is just formality."
