Our Mission

The Singapore Storeroom is an online museum that aims to present an intimate account of life on the island through personal oral histories and forgotten everyday items.

Each piece that you will see was made for, crafted by, or created in mind for those who call the island home.

Some of these artifacts were meant for the most mundane of purposes, while others mark long lost eras or cherished family memories.

But each one of them belongs to an individual who dreamed and lived within the shorelines of this port city.

And these items do not have to be just someone else’s heritage.

We believe in the importance that private individuals such as you & I play in the role of conservation. It’s a role we hope we, the everyday person can take up to create a multi-faceted view of our shared heritage & common history.
